If you're into local eats, you've got to hit up No Name Ramen and Sushitetsu on Pontocho alley—absolute gems! Plus, the in-suite laundry is a lifesaver for any foodie on the go. The location near Nishiki Market is prime for all your culinary adventures.
The linens could use a refresh and don’t expect daily room cleaning. I stayed for 8 nights and only got the full clean once.

Superb location near Gion and Nishiki market. Just a quick walk to many shopping and dining spots. The room layout impressed me. it included a washing machine and dryer that worked perfectly. Super handy for traveling with kids! The staff were really friendly, even if some had limited English. They found someone who could help us when needed, and Google Translate filled in the gaps. One downside was that not every room is cleaned daily, which was slightly inconvenient, but cleanliness was generally excellent. Breakfast was a Japanese boxed meal served in the room, which I didn’t find exciting, but there are great bakeries nearby. Overall, a great stay with some minor areas for improvement.

The Tokyu Stay offered a wonderful experience with its fantastic amenities, including an in-room washer/dryer, which was incredibly convenient for my stay. The room was spacious and well-equipped, featuring a microwave and hot plate that allowed for easy meal preparation. The location was excellent, with numerous shopping and dining options within walking distance, making it ideal for a business trip.
The lack of daily cleaning was a minor inconvenience.

No restaurant on-site!!! Breakfast consists of a bland boxed meal picked up at reception, really disappointing!!! Additional cleaning during the stay would enhance the experience!!!

Excellent location with spacious rooms
I had a fantastic stay! The hotel is perfectly situated in the midst of shopping and eating options while still being quiet, making it a peaceful retreat. My room was spacious, cozy, and included a handy washing machine, which was a lifesaver for my travels. However, the only downside was the steep price, which is common for Kyoto, but worth it for the comfort and convenience.

Perfect for family trips
The atmosphere was so relaxing,, we had a huge room that was quiet, perfect for unwinding after days of walking. The washing machine in the room was a lifesaver,, allowed us to pack lighter and save space for all the souvenirs.
I mean,, it’s not exactly cheap but honestly I think it’s worth it for the comfort.
